C.S. Lewis Quotes

"My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line. What was I comparing this universe with when I called it unjust?" - Mere Christianity

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic -- on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg -- or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to." – Mere Christianity

-I love these excerpts from his book. If you can't say it better yourself, why not quote someone who did?

I pray that all of our family, friends, and loved ones will come to know Jesus and His truth-THE truth.

Have a wonderful week!

Thanksgiving Fun!

My sister Megan (19) came to visit us for her Thanksgiving break. She is currently going to college in Buffalo, NY and studying Architecture. She hopes to transfer to Parson's in NYC next year!
We went shopping on Black Friday and again on Saturday at the Southlake Towncenter. I love love love the towncenter. I could spend 2 days there. James was sweet enough to drop us off at the mall on Friday so we didn't have to park.
Lauren (17), our other sister, is currently modeling and living in Japan. They both will go home for Christmas to see their dad in Hawaii.

Our First Christmas Together (married) !!!

Trying to get our "child" to take a good picture! :)

This was the best one!

To buy or not to buy...

So, I have been curious about these Debbie Meyer Green Bags. I started by looking for the best price so that I could try them out. Then, I started reading the reviews... it seems for every one good review there is 2 bad ones. Has anyone out there actually tried them themselves and loved them? Do you have to follow strict instructions to get good results? For example, some people say that moisture bulid up in the green bag will cause things to spoil. So just put papertowels in the bag and keep the produce dry. AND there are some reports that the pretty yellow 9 day old bananas look great but are rotten on the inside! Huh?? And while we are talking about bananas, I have heard not to put them in the fridge, so I never have. Is that true? I don't see why you would need to put them in the fridge anyway. That seems strange to me. But I do put other fruits in there... I don't know.

If I can get the bags to work for me (extend the life of my fruits and veggies) then it is worth buying.
So friends and family, post me a comment and gimme some feedback.
Thanks!

-Just got back from San Francisco. I went for our annual 'reproductive medicine' convention. It was my first trip to SF. I have to go back and take James. We didn't really have that much time to sight see, so that's why my pics aren't that exciting. I didn't realize there were so many Filipinos living there! They are everywhere :) I love it! The food was great - but man, it's like twice the price. We stayed at the Marriott Downtown - very nice. The 'View' bar at the top of the hotel was great. It had such a beautiful view of the city -clever name huh? They have this window in the bar that reminds me of Star Wars...so we renamed it the Millenium Falcon Bar.
